I remembered being shock as a high school student when I learned about the Triangle Fire. I wondered what it would be like to have been a young woman, working in the garment industry, 12 or more hours a day, for less than $0.15 an hour. I felt a deep fear imagining what it was like to be trapped inside my job—doors locked. It’s a terribly tragic story that left an indelible imprint on the American workforce and labor laws.
Tonight at 9pm on WOSU TV American Experience tells the tale of the Triangle Fire; what led up to it and resulted after it.
